The all-new 2022 Ford Maverick has arrived, and we’ve got all the details on this capable, efficient pickup truck. You can choose between three trim levels for the new Maverick: XL, XLT, and LARIAT.

With the Maverick’s standard hybrid engine, you can keep the environment safer for the beautiful scenery of Trail and our neighbouring areas when you’re behind the wheel. This 2.5-litre hybrid is paired with a continuously variable transmission. As a result, you can expect to achieve an estimated 5.9 L/100 km in the city and 7.1 L/100 km on the highway.* If you’d rather go all-gas, the available 2.0-litre EcoBoost® engine generates 250 horsepower, has a 1,500-pound max payload, and can tow up to 4,000 pounds with the optional Trailer Tow Package. You can also add the available FX4 Off-Road Package to help you explore the road less traveled thanks to Hill Descent Control, skid plates, all-terrain tires, and five selectable drive modes.

Exterior Features

 
Before you even get inside the 2022 Maverick, you’ll notice its exceptional and functional design. The exterior can be painted in one of 10 appealing colors, including the bright Cyber Orange and the cool Velocity Blue Metallic. The Maverick is also incredibly versatile thanks to the FLEXBED™. For starters, the bed has a 400-watt 100-volt outlet so you can plug in your gear on the go. Beyond that, the FLEXBED™ can be adjusted to add a bike rack or multiple dividers to keep your cargo secure. If you need the Maverick for work, the multi-position tailgate will come in handy, as you can adjust the tailgate retention cords to haul longer materials or use the tailgate as a work surface.
 

Interior Features

 
Inside, the Maverick is modern and offers an adaptable cabin to suit your needs. Don’t let this truck’s small size fool you — there’s enough room for five with ample legroom thanks to its lowered tunnel design. Rear underseat storage is standard and offers a great place to keep snacks, sports equipment, or valuables. In the front of the Maverick LARIAT, an eight-way power driver’s seat is standard. The Maverick XL offers cloth bucket seats, but as you move up the trim levels, you’ll have the option of adding ActiveX™ Desert Brown bucket seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and ambient lighting.

To help you stay connected on the job or on the weekend, the 2022 Ford Maverick can be equipped with some of the top technology available in the auto industry. When you add the SYNC® 3 system, you’ll get an LCD capacitive touch screen with an easy-to-use interface as well as smartphone connectivity via Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™. When paired with the available SYNC AppLink™, you can use your voice to control your favourite compatible mobile apps while you’re driving. You can listen to your top songs and podcasts through the standard audio system or upgrade to the available B&O™ Sound System by Band & Olufsen that produces a concert-like experience through its eight speakers.
 

Safety Technology

 
The weather in Trail can get intense sometimes and having helpful safety systems at the ready will add some peace of mind to your drives. The 2022 Maverick comes with a standard rearview camera to help you back up. For what’s ahead of you, standard Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking will alert you if a potential crash with pedestrians or vehicles could happen and will apply the brakes automatically if you don’t take corrective action. Additional available safety systems that you can add to your Maverick include a Lane-Keeping System, Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop-and-Go and Lane Centering, Evasive Steering Assist, and BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System) with Cross-Traffic Alert.
